Here are some of the great places that you can visit when you are in Australia so that you enjoy the best Australian holidays ever.

- Heron Island – At this kid friendly location kids are allowed free boarding and food. In addition to all the fun that they can have at the place, there is also educational experience that they can benefit from. - Sydney Olympic Park – A place that is not called an Olympic Park for no reason, this is a place that locals and tourists like to visit alike. Here they can enjoy gymnastics, mini golf, print making, biking, archery, skateboarding, water playgrounds and more.
- Hayman Island – A great location for kids where they can enjoy beach cricket and Reef Ranger Programs designed especially for them. If you are travelling to Australia around the month of January, make sure that you visit this place.
- Ballina Lakeside Holiday Park – A fun filled time is what you will have at the Ballina Lakeside Park if you want to combine the best of both worlds. Children can have all the fun that they want as adults relax and rejuvenate without any worries.

Rotorua

Posted: under AUSTRALIA, Tour & Travel.

Image

Top tourist attraction of North Island’s Rotorua Lake offers more than 1,200 geothermal areas, hotsprings, lakes and geysers, all situated on a vulcanic plateau.  It is a home of 1/3 New Zealand’s Maoris and is highly important among their community. Due to Maori legend, the best known love story where the couple overcame their problems and lived happily ever after, you can also make your wish come true visiting a Wishing Rock on Mokoia Island.

Image

Asking for  Whakarewarewa – be sure to note the name earlier – you will end up in the middle of huge bubble muddy pools, similar to those you usually see in horror movies. Steam rising from cracks in the rocks accompanied by geyser eruptions will definitely boost your senses, that will most probably explode in front of the 30 meter high Pohutu geyser!

Image

To get a feeling of what it looks like to be living in a place like that the Maori village is a must! You will remain astonished with their home made cooking specialties from natural steam ovens. And you wouldn’t believe the heating system they use! To see the web of steam pipes below the surface is just extraordinary…

WHAT TO SEE
Lake Okataina, the Polynesian pools and Pohutu geyser
FOR THE EXPLORERS
Soak yourself in a Hinemoa’s pool
WHY TO SEE
To meet the Maori tradition and specialties
WHAT TO ASK ABOUT
Try to find out the story about Hinemoa and Tutanekai

Wineglass Bay – Tasmania

Posted: under AUSTRALIA, Tour & Travel.

Wineglass Bay at Travel-Best-Destinations.com

This is a part of some of the most beautiful coastline in Tasmania situated on the Freycinet Peninsula as a part of the Freycinet National Park.

The granite mountains of the peninsula descend to the blue coves, the most beautiful of which is the Wineglass Bay. It got the name due to it’s perfect shape, marked by the amazingly white sandy beach.

The Coles Bay at north of the park is another inlet marked by three pink granite rocks well known as The Hazards, that rise to 300m (1000ft) high from the sea level.

There are many walking trails in the area but with very little drinking water , so be sure to carry enough with you. One of the walking tracks including the lookout point over Wineglass bay should take as long as five hours; still, if you’re not so interested in walking, it’s recommended taking a cruise or hiring a boat for your own personal way of experiencing this special part of Australia.

WHAT IS IT
Perfectly shaped, stunningly beautiful part of Australian coast
WHAT TO DO THERE
Take one or a few of numerous walking tracks along the coast and granite mountains
WHAT IS SPECIAL
The Hazards – 300 m (1000ft) high pink granite rocks
